Dhadkan director Dharmesh Darshan recalls the time when a plane missed Akshay Kumar’s head by inches

Director Dharmesh Darshan who is renowned for helming the 2000 hit film “Dhadkan”, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Shilpa Shetty, opened up about a fascinating BTS (behind-the-scenes) incident related to Akshay. During an interview, he recollected the story and told how Akshay performed a daring stunt that left the director apprehensive and scared.

He explained about it in detail and said,Detailing the incident, Dharmesh explained,”The actors submitted completely while shooting Dhadkan. One day we were shooting for the song “Na Na Karte Pyaar. On one sequence of the song, a plane was supposed to go over the head of Akshay and Shilpa. We were standing at a distance with the camera, because the camera can’t stand so close to the plane. I was a little scared while shooting that scene because if some accident happens, the director gets the blame. I wanted them to keep a distance but Akshay ji used to do stunts. He took Shilpa and the plane just missed him by a centimeter. I thought I was dead. He came to me and asked me if I liked the shot and I said, ‘This is not a Dhadkan shot, this is a Khiladi shot.’”
