Veteran Bollywood and Marathi cinema actor Nana Patekar has passed away at the age of 75. He suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa during the early hours of the morning. Despite immediate medical help and continuous efforts by doctors to revive him, he was sadly brought dead to the hospital.


​Known for his powerful performances, intense voice, and unique acting style, Nana Patekar delivered unforgettable roles in acclaimed films like Parinda, Krantiveer, and Tiranga. He was a recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri and multiple National Film Awards, cementing his legacy as one of Indian cinema’s most respected icons. Beyond his illustrious film career, he was also deeply admired for his philanthropic work and his honorary service as an officer in the Territorial Army.


​The Maharashtra government has announced that the veteran actor will be accorded a state funeral. His final rites and cremation will be held at his farmhouse in Pune, where family, close friends, and fans are expected to gather to pay their final respects to the legendary artist.
