The biographical period drama “Mujib,” directed by Shyam Benegal, is scheduled for October 27 release

Acclaimed filmmaker Shyam Benegal’s is all set for a global theatrical release of his forthcoming directorial, “Mujib – The Making of a Nation,” on October 27th. This one happens to be a biographical drama portraying the remarkable life of Bangladesh’s iconic leader, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) took to its official microblogging page to announce its release date and also its trailer.

The project is described as an “exceptional biographical movie that vividly narrates the life of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, lovingly known as Bangabandhu – The Friend of Bengal.”

“Mujib – The Making of a Nation” represents an official co-production between Bangladesh and India, made possible through the Audio Visual Co-Production Agreement between the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
