Ranbir Kapoor Slashes His Fees by Half for “Animal” to Support the Producers

Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in the lead role in the upcoming movie “Animal,” which is now slated for a December 1 release, after being postponed previously. Recent reports indicate that, the actor has made a choice to reduce his remuneration because of production delays and escalating expenses..

“Animal” will serve as Ranbir Kapoor’s second film of the year, following “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar.” The film is helmed by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner. The release date was initially set for an August 11 release, but was rescheduled due to post-production delays.

A report in Pinkvilla  said that Ranbir Kapoor has decided to reduce his earnings for the film due to the rising expenses associated with its delayed release. It further indicates that due to extensive post-production efforts and the release delay, the production cost of the film has escalated significantly. The report suggested that Ranbir Kapoor has slashed his remuneration by more than 50%. Allegedly, he is now charging a fee in the range of ₹30-35 crore and will also share in the profits if the film performs well at the box office.
