Suniel Shetty recently shared emotional insights into his son Ahan Shetty’s tough journey in Bollywood. Ahan made his debut with the action-romance film Tadap in 2021, opposite Tara Sutaria. Directed by Milan Luthria, the movie had high hopes due to its fresh pairing and Suniel’s production backing. Sadly, it bombed at the box office, earning just Rs 20 crore against a Rs 30 crore budget.

In a candid chat, Suniel opened up about Ahan’s pain. “Ahan went through hell after Tadap flopped,” he said. The failure hit Ahan hard, as he faced online trolls and doubts about his talent. Suniel revealed how his son locked himself away, battling depression and self-doubt. “He questioned everything—his looks, acting, even why he entered films,” Suniel added.
Despite the setback, Suniel praised Ahan’s resilience. Ahan bounced back with Gehraiyaan (2022) on OTT and 3 Monkeys (2024). Suniel advised him to focus on growth, not glamour. “Bollywood tests you; failures build stars,” he noted.
This story shows the real struggles behind filmi glamour. Ahan’s comeback proves hard work beats debut flops. Fans admire the Shetty family’s honest take on mental health in showbiz.
