Shabana Azmi To Play Sonam’s Mother In “Neerja”

Bollywood legendary actress Shabana Azmi is all set to play mother role in her upcoming flick Neerja. This flick is based on life story of air-hostess Neerja Bhanot who lost her life saving hundred of passengers travelling in Pan Am Flight in Karachi in 1986 Hijack.

According to sources Sonam Kapoor is playing role of Neerja Bhanot, and Shabana Azmi is going to play role of Sonam Kapoor’s mother.

According to reports Shabana Azmi and Sonam Kapoor’s roles will be main highlight of the film. 

Recently in 2014 Shabana Azmi gave 2013 Neerja Bhanot award to Rashmi Anand who was said to be victim of domestic abuse.

While interacting with media Sonam’s dad Anil Kapoor disclosed I have great bounding with Shabana Azmi as I have worked with her in number of flicks like Hum Panch, Rakhwala and many more. Shabana is great star to work with I am feeling happy that my daughter is going to share screen with her.
