Tigmanshu is well known for Paan Singh Tomar as a maker of this movie. Dhulia did hard work on writing script of Begum Samru. According to director its periodic movie based on the life of Samru an 18th century ruler. Who manage to become a leader of Saradhna a place situated near Meerut. She becomes a freedom fighter and starts doing agitation against British Emperors.
According to latest reports Dhulia is looking forward signing Kareena Kapoor to play a role of Samru. According to reports Chitrangada has also expressed her interest in playing role in this movie.
