Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar Team Up for Two More Films

Director Priyadarshan and superstar Akshay Kumar, famous for hits like Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Garam Masala, are reuniting after 14 years. Their recent projects include the horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla and the suspense thriller Haiwaan, both generating huge excitement among fans.

Now, fresh reports confirm they are joining forces for two more films. The first is a lively comedy produced by Tips Films’ Ramesh Taurani, blending youth appeal with family fun—classic Priyadarshan style. Shooting may start in early 2027, after Priyadarshan’s other commitments like a Pankaj Tripathi comedy and his 100th film with Mohanlal.

Details on the second film are still under wraps, but insiders say it’s another entertainer locked in after Haiwaan. Priyadarshan praises Akshay’s emotional range, calling him perfect for comedy with heart. Akshay’s busy slate—Welcome to the Jungle, Bhagam Bhag 2, and Golmaal 5—shows his non-stop energy.
