Nitesh Tiwari clarifies if the title of his written film Tum Se Na Ho Paayega is inspired by Gangs of Wasseypur

While “Gangs of Wasseypur” is often associated with popularizing the catchphrase “Tum Se Na Ho Payega,” writer-director Nitesh Tiwari, whose latest film takes its title from this line, asserts that it was already ingrained in the audience’s collective consciousness. In Anurag Kashyap’s 2012 cult classic, the character Ramadhir Singh, played by Tigmanshu Dhulia, uttered this phrase, which has since become emblematic of a loss of trust in someone’s capabilities and competence.

The film is written by Tiwari and directed by Abhishek Sinha showcases a “light-hearted take on the modern-day challenges faced by today’s youth, and their dilemma in standing up to these rules laid by the society”.
Tiwari clarified that the title of his film is not a nod to “Gangs of Wasseypur” on being asked in a PTI interview.
