There was some imbalance among the Manikarnika team when the shooting for it was mid way. Krish had even walked out of the film as Kangna herself took over the director’s chair and shot some pivotal sequences herself. She had even taken the credit of co-director for the film.

When the Manikarnika director, Krish, was asked about this incident on Samantha Akkineni’s chat show SamJam, he said he wants to speak about it one last time. He said, “I really want to speak one last time.”

“After Kangana Ranaut and her team watched the film, I got a call after two days… As a storyteller, I feared I’ll remain unknown to the world. As artists, we can only show it to the world when we get the right opportunities,” Krish said.
