Fans are excited about reports of Jawan 2, the sequel to the 2023 hit action film starring Shah Rukh Khan (SRK). Directed by Atlee, who made his Bollywood debut with the original, the project may start after SRK finishes his upcoming movie King. The first Jawan featured SRK in a dual role as a vigilante fighting corruption, alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi as the villain, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover, with Deepika Padukone in a cameo.
Sources say the Jawan 2 script was finalized weeks ago, building on the blockbuster’s success, which earned over ₹1055 crore worldwide. SRK and Atlee, fresh from their hit collaboration, plan to reunite for more high-octane action. A major highlight is casting an A-list South Indian superstar as the new villain, following Vijay Sethupathi’s strong role in part one, to boost pan-India appeal.
While no official confirmation exists from SRK or Atlee, rumors suggest returning stars like Nayanthara and possible new faces. The story may continue Azad’s justice mission against political wrongs in sectors like health and defense. Earlier in January 2026, Atlee denied Jawan 2 rumors, but fresh reports indicate progress.
This sequel could be SRK’s next big franchise after King, thrilling Bollywood fans with mass entertainment.
