Many users felt that the makeup and styling did not resemble the cricketer at all. The harsh reception even included memes and comments suggesting that artificial intelligence, specifically ChatGPT, might have designed a more accurate or convincing look for the actor.

​Despite his reputation for being a versatile performer who transforms into his characters, this particular transformation seems to have missed the mark for the audience. Critics argued that the lack of physical resemblance was distracting, making it difficult to visualize the actor as the legendary “Prince of Kolkata.”
