CBI Files New FIR in Disha Salian Death Case Involving Bollywood Figures

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially registered a First Information Report (FIR) to look into the 2020 death of celebrity manager Disha Salian. This major legal step follows a directive from the Bombay High Court, which questioned why the case was initially closed as a simple accidental death and ordered a detailed inquiry.

The newly filed CBI case lists several prominent names whose roles require official investigation. Among them are actors Rhea Chakraborty, Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea, alongside political figure Aaditya Thackeray and several former police and medical personnel. Investigators will examine various aspects, including the conspiracy angles, the creation of a reported false suicide narrative, and allegations of evidence tampering.

Disha Salian passed away on June 8, 2020, after falling from a residential building in Mumbai. Because her death occurred just days before actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead, the two cases drew massive public and media attention. With the High Court directing a fresh, thorough probe, Salian’s family has expressed renewed hope that the legal proceedings will finally bring complete clarity and justice to light.
