Akshay Kumar on Anil and Nana’s Absence: ‘They Might Return in Welcome 4’

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently opened up about the absence of veteran actors Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar from the upcoming comedy film, Welcome to the Jungle (also known as Welcome 3). The iconic duo, who famously played the beloved characters Majnu Bhai and Uday Shetty in the first two installments, are highly missed by fans in this new chapter.

​Addressing their absence, Akshay Kumar explained that film franchises often undergo major changes in casting, scripts, and scheduling over the years. He shared that while things did not align for them to join the third movie, there are absolutely no hard feelings.

​Instead, the actor offered an exciting ray of hope for disappointed fans. He teased that the franchise is far from over, hinting that the legendary characters could easily make a grand comeback in the future.

​”Franchises keep evolving, and casting depends on many factors. But who knows? If Welcome 4 is ever made, you might see them back again,” Akshay shared during a promotional event.
​For now, Welcome to the Jungle features a massive ensemble cast including Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani, promising a fresh dose of chaos and laughter.
