Akshay Kumar And Swanand Kirkire Reunite For Sci-Fi Thriller Samuk

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and acclaimed writer-lyricist Swanand Kirkire are set to reunite professionally after 13 years for Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s upcoming film, Samuk.

​The duo previously collaborated on the socially impactful film Pad Man, where Kirkire contributed as a writer. In this ambitious new project, Kirkire is reportedly joining the star-studded cast in a key role. Directed by Kanishk Varma, Samuk is being mounted on a massive scale as an action-survival sci-fi thriller centered around alien territory.
​Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under Sunshine Pictures, the film marks a major creative reunion between the producer and Akshay Kumar after more than a decade. Principal photography is primarily taking place in London, bringing together an eclectic ensemble cast that includes actors like Rukmini Maitra and Vineet Kumar Singh.
