Antim featuring Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma is in the news from the last few days. Earlier, there was a news of Salman Khan opting out from the movie because of creative differences but this news turned to be a rumor. It came to light that Salman plays an important part of the film. However, the character that he will be playing is still not clear. The director Mahesh Manjrekar and the actor is himself confused.
Earlier, it was said that Salman will be in the shoes of a Punjabi cop in the film. But now it is learnt that there is still confusion on the role he will be portraying as there is a difference of opinion on the character’s origin.
The film Antim is a Hindi remake of Marathi film, Mulshi Pattern. Therefore the director wants to keep the origin of the character intact. Whereas Salman wants to play Punjabi cop in order to take the film to more segment of the viewers.
Regarding the same, a source reported, “However, Salman wants to play a Punjabi police officer. He believes it will lend pan-India appeal to the film. Over the past few days, Salman and Mahesh have been brainstorming about his character. It has finally been decided that the actor will conduct a look test this weekend, during which he will flaunt a Maharashtrian avatar and a north Indian get-up, and accordingly zero in on his final look.”
