‘War 2’ to hit theaters on August 14, 2025

According to a reliable source in the film industry, ‘War 2’ is set to hit theaters on August 14, 2025. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, this spy thriller is the sixth installment in the spy universe, following ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘War’, ‘Pathaan’, and the recently premiered ‘Tiger 3’ starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

Hrithik Roshan hinted at his appearance in ‘Tiger 3’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan, suggesting future developments in the spy universe. The 2019 film ‘War’, centered around Hrithik’s character, who rebels to cleanse the country’s intelligence system and uncover infiltrators in the elite forces. 

‘War’ initially set box office records but was later surpassed by Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the movie became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2019 and the 17th highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Yash Raj Films also recently released the streaming series ‘The Railway Men’, based on the 1894 Union Carbide gas leak in Bhopal.
