Vikrant Massey’s recent film, “12th Fail,” directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, earned both critical acclaim and commercial success. Building on this triumph, Massey is now teaming up with producer Ekta R. Kapoor for an upcoming project.
Massey is set to lead in Ekta Kapoor’s untitled political thriller, directed by Ranjan Chandel, known for the popular digital series “Grahan.” The film delves into a shocking true story from the early 2000s that significantly impacted the nation, reshaping India’s political landscape.
Ekta Kapoor is excited about bringing this impactful story to the big screen. Despite ongoing debates on the incident, no one has dared to make a film about it. Ekta, known for taking risks, has decided to support this narrative. The story, described as hard-hitting, provides ample scope for powerful performances.
Vikrant Massey, Ekta Kapoor, and Ranjan have extensively discussed the project and are gearing up to start filming in the coming months. Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Amul V. Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, the film’s script is written by Aseem Arora. An official announcement is expected soon, and director Ranjan has already begun pre-production work, with acting workshops scheduled to start shortly.
