Vijay Sethupathi speaks after bagging National Award for Super Deluxe

The Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi has become a PAN India name after the tremendous success of Master, which made Bhavani a household name. He was seen in the role of a transgender in Super Deluxe that gave him recognition of another level. The actor was honored with National Award in the Best Supporting Actor category. Last year 2019’s films were scheduled to be honored back in 2020 itself but due to COVID 19 last years content was rewarded this year.

In a recent interview with a news portal, Vijay Sethupathi spoke the award came to him unexpectedly and also that he had stopped to go to award functions. He added that winning a National Award was a surprise to him. He said, “When I work, I don’t expect any awards. For the past two years, I have stopped going to award functions. The news of winning the National Film Award came as a surprise. When people started wishing me, I didn’t even know how to react.”
