On January 26, 2025, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day from the sets of his upcoming film, ‘Border 2’. He shared a photograph on his Instagram handle, standing atop a military tank at Babina Cantonment in Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh, holding the national flag. In his post, Varun wrote, “On this Republic Day, let’s celebrate the strength of our unity.”
‘Border 2’ is the sequel to the iconic 1997 war film ‘Border’, which depicted the valor of Indian soldiers during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. The upcoming film is directed by Anurag Singh and features an ensemble cast, including Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, and Varun Dhawan. The movie is slated for release on January 23, 2026, coinciding with Republic Day celebrations.
