Mishti, the 21 year old, light-eyed girl from Kolkata, will play the character of Kaanchi.

After a long and arduous audition period that saw over 240 girls vying for the opportunity, Subhash Ghai found his Kaanchi in Mishti.

Paired alongside Kartik Tiwari, the lead from Kumar Mangat’s released today film Aakash Vani, Subhash Ghai has once again put his money on the new and upcoming talents, giving them the shot at fame that they deserve.

Kaanchi is the story of a an innocent girl from Uttarkhand whose father, an ex-army man, gets shot. It is set to go on the floors by Feb 18

This event turns her life upside down and after a certain point, she refuses to be the victim, stand up to fight her way out and emerges as a winner.
