The Election Commission of India honors Sonu Sood

Actor Sonu Sood has proven to be a true hero during the times of pandemic. His humanitarian works have earned him laurels and appreciation from all over the nation and abroad. He has helped the migrants reach their hometown during the time of lockdown. He has also been helping the needy and poor by giving them face shields, food, mobile phones and more. It is therefore that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has decided to appoint Sonu as state icon of Punjab.

 “I am overwhelmed and extremely grateful for this honour. Having been born in Punjab, this appointment means so much to me, emotionally. I am happy to have made my state proud of me and I am motivated to keep working hard,” said Sonu expressing his happiness.

Recently, Sonu announced that he is all set to come up with his autobiography titled I am No Messiah.

On the work front, the actor will next be seen in the Akshay Kumar starrer in “Prithviraj“.
