The Tamil film was based on the book Simply Fly- ‘A Deccan Odyssey’, authored by Captain G.R. Gopinath and was produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment. Reports suggested that Guneet Monga approached the Madras High Court against Suriya over the remaking rights of the film in Hindi. She alleged that it was Suriya and her to remake the Tamil film in Hindi. But Suriya had entered into a deal with Abundantia Entertainment without taking her consent and also alleged Suriya of not fulfilling the obligations under the original contract between the two.
Hence a stay order on the film’s Hindi remake has been issued.
