SRK’s Meer Foundation Get FCRA Licence

SRK’s NGO Meer Foundation gets FCRA licence after intervention of Home Minister.

According to report after acquiring FCRA licence now Meer Foundation is liable for receiving foreign grants.

Well some of us may not be aware of SRK apart from acting also made lives of number of underprivileged woman through his NGO Meer Foundation. And now Meer Foundation get new releif by getting FCRA licence from Home Ministry for consecutive 5 years, for the same now NGO will get foreign grants and funds for next 5 years.

Now NRI’s can come forward and send financial aid to Meer Foundation, however NRI’s who don’t have foreign passport will not be able to send aid to Foundation.

Well Meer Foundation came into existence 2013 which was dedicated towards helping acid attack survivors. Last week Foundation got FCRA licence. According to report as per MHA guidelines, an NGO can apply for an FCRA license with definite purposes such as cultural, economic, educational, religious or social programmes.

Well during first wave of Corona pandemic Meer Foundation converted SRK’s office into a quarantine centre for asymptomatic patients. Later, it was turned into an ICU for critical patients. Meer Foundation focused on day-night security, housekeeping, waterproofing and upkeep of the beds and meals at this centre.
