Sonali Bendre Stuns in Handcrafted Sunset Chiffon Sari by Nachiket Barve for Reality Show

Sonali Bendre has always been known for her timeless style—elegant, classic, and filled with a touch of nostalgia. Her latest outfit, a beautiful shaded chiffon sari by designer Nachiket Barve, continues that tradition. The sari blends warm sunset shades, moving from saffron to deep scarlet, proving that simplicity can look truly stunning.

Nachiket Barve shared that this sari has a special story. Over 13 years ago, he designed a similar chiffon sari for Sonali for a TV show. That piece, inspired by the Silk Route, also had sunset colours and a blouse inspired by armoured doors. Meeting again recently, they decided to recreate that magic for her upcoming reality show Pati, Patni Aur Panga.

This new sari is hand-dyed to look like the sky at dusk. The blouse is the highlight—crafted with Barve’s signature appliqué technique, it features seven types of handmade flowers decorated with sequins, beads, embroidery, and cutwork. Amazingly, it is ultra-light despite taking over 500 hours to make.Sonali completed the look with oxidised silver earrings from Tribe Amrapali, soft radiant makeup, and a half-up bouffant hairstyle, making the outfit not just beautiful but also versatile for many occasions.
