Sharmin Segal Mehta, or simply Sharmin Segal, is a rising star in Bollywood. Born in 1995, she started her journey in the film industry behind the camera, working as an assistant director for her well-known uncle, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. 

Sharmin gained experience on sets of grand productions like “Bajirao Mastani” and “Gangubai Kathiawadi.” However, her passion for acting soon took center stage. In 2019, she made a sparkling debut in the movie “Malaal,” which was produced by Bhansali. Her performance was so impressive that she even received a nomination for the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Sharmin isn’t afraid of diverse roles. After “Malaal,” she appeared in the comedy film “Atithi Bhooto Bhava” in 2022. This year, 2024, she made a jump to the web series world with “Heeramandi.”
