Salman Khan exits Karan Johar’s The Bull due to prolonged production delays

Salman Khan and Karan Johar’s collaboration appears to face continuous setbacks. Despite their attempt to reunite 25 years after “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” they’ve struggled. A report from Bollywood Hungama suggests Salman withdrew from Karan’s Dharma Productions’ film “The Bull” due to persistent production delays. Salman, previously flexible with his schedule, now begins filming for AR Murugadoss’ action movie, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

“After a lot of back and forth on the dates, Karan and Vishnu were still not able to commit to the exact timelines of the shoot. That’s when Salman conveyed his decision to back out from the project. Salman politely informed his decision to Karan,” the report quotes an unnamed source.

“He might give another try to make Bull a reality, but at the moment, the army film is shelved from Salman’s end. If Karan can commit to a certain timeline on paper, he might come back and try his luck to relaunch the project,” the source added. “The Bull” was planned as a military movie directed by Vishnu Vardhan, known for “Shershaah.” They intended to co-produce Anurag Singh’s 2019 film “Kesari,” but that also didn’t happen. Last year on Salman’s birthday, Karan remembered when Salman agreed to do “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” as a favor, when no one else was willing.
