Saif Ali Khan is on verge of losing his Padma Shri award, and that due to his involvement in a brawl that took last place in 2012.
According to latest reports there are chances that Saif Ali Khan may lose his Padma Shri award which is India’s highest award. And this will happen due to his involvement in a brawl that took place in Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in 2012. Brawl happed between Saif Ali Khan and South African NRI Iqbal Sharma and his father in law.
According to reports brawl took place when Saif along with Kareena Kapoor and few other friends were having dinner at Wasabi, it all started when NRI businessman present in restaurant asked Saif and his friends to keep calm and stop shouting during this process things turned ugly and Saif in alteration punched on the nose of Sharma, soon after this incident Sharma lodged police complaint against Saif Ali Khan, due to which Saif and Shaeel Ladak along with Bilal Amrohi were taken into custody, but released after furnishing bail bounds.
During the month of March RTI activist S.C Agrawal came forward and filed complaint with Union Home Ministry asking to take back prestigious Padma Shri Award from actor as this award is fourth highest civilian honour in India. Therefore person who is violent has no right to get this award.
Now all eyes are set on Saif Ali Khan will he lose prestigious award or not, according to rules only President of India has right to cancel this prestigious award.
