Rhea Chakraborty & Showik Chakraborty’s judicial custody extended till 6 October

Judicial custody of both Rhea Chakraborty and brother Showik Chakraborty has been extended till October 6. Rhea, the former girlfriend of late Sushant Singh Rajput and the prime accused in his death case, along with her brother, Showik Chakraborty were arrested by the NCB on September 8 for procuring drugs. The NCB officials have arrested more than 18 people till now in relation to the drug angle in the death case of the actor.

Satish Maneshinde, the lawyer of Rhea said that both Rhea and Showik have moved to Bombay High Court looking to getting bail. However, their bails were rejected in the past. The hearing for the latest bail plea will be done today. Advocate Maneshinde, in his statement, said, “Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty have filed an application for Bail in the NDPS Case in the Bombay High Court. It is coming up for hearing on 23rd Sept 2020 before Justice Sarang V Kotwal. The details of the bail applications will be shared after the hearing on 23rd Sept”.
