In an exclusive TV interview with Ranvir Shorey, he revealed that his Twitter war of words with Anurag Kashyap is over. Both of them have buried the hatchet and continue to remain good friends like before. They ended their Twitter argument in which Anurag opposed Kangana’s stand on nepotism and star kids, while Ranvir agreed to what Kangana had to say.
Kangana opened up a can of worms in Bollywood about nepotism, and other such things in the industry in the wake of SSR’s suicidal demise. Giving a clarity on his position on this, the actor said, “I don’t know what his (Anurag Kashyap) position is, you’ll have to ask him. I can only tell you my position, and my position is that we need to address the things she’s talking about. It doesn’t matter why she’s saying it and all that…I think, let’s focus on what she’s saying. So, the things she’s saying, we need to address those things. It can’t be swept under the carpet.”
Giving a detail on how Anurag Kashyap and he has patched up, Ranvir added, “Yes, we have exchanged messages since then, so everything is okay. I don’t think much of it, Anurag is my friend and will be by friend and it’s just a small misunderstanding that happened between us.”
In the same interview, he revealed certain aspects about his character in his film, Lootcase, “In any comedy scene or situation, one person gets to do the laughs and the other gets to play the foil to it. So my role in Lootcase is more about playing foil to the comedy than doing the comedy itself.,which is not to say that it makes the scenes any less funny. It’s just to say that I won’t be the one evoking the laughter, but I’ll be there in the scenes. It is a tougher thing though, also because a lot of times it’s difficult to control your own laughter when you’re doing such scenes.”
Lootcase also stars Kunal Kemmu, Gajraj Rao, Vijay Raaz and Rasika Dugal.
