Ranbir Kapoor’s short film ‘Karma’ nominated for ‘Student Oscars’ is out

A short film that was titled Karma was directed by legendary director BR Chopra’s grandson Abhay Chopra. This was quite a special film as it happens to be Ranbir Kapoor’s first-ever short film. It was screened at the Bandra Film Festivals Youtube Channel yesterday i.e. on the 5th of May 2021. Lasting for 26 mins, this short film was showcased under the ‘A Point Across’ category. The film is about a jailer facing the dilemma of performing the execution of his own son. What made the film more special is that it was also nominated for Student Oscars.

Beside featuring Ranbir Kapoor, the film boasts an ensemble of star cast including Sharat Saxena of Ghulam, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Baadshah fame. He plays the lead role of the jailer in the movie. Milind Joshi and Sushovan Banerjee feature in other pivotal roles. You can also watch the movie on BFF’s YouTube channel.
