Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani, known for hits like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S and 3 Idiots, is preparing for his next project. But this time, the spotlight isn’t on him. His son, Vir, is stepping into the world of entertainment.
Vir isn’t following in his father’s footsteps as a director, though. He’s chosen acting as his debut. He’ll be appearing in a play titled “Letters from Suresh,” a story about human connection told through letters. This isn’t Vir’s first foray into storytelling. A graduate of the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he’s been making short films since his teens.
Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani’s latest film, Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is doing well. The movie tackles the issue of immigration.
Earlier this year, he told a news channel, “I’m doing an OTT show, which we actually start shooting this month. I’m a showrunner for that, I’m not directing it. It’s a show for Hotstar (Disney Hotstar) and Vikrant Massey is playing a role in it.”
