Payal Dev recreates Mika’s ‘Sawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag’ for Ginny Weds Sunny

Although singer and composer Payal Dev, do not like recreating songs, but when recently she tried to do the job of recreating an old pop hit,she found it more challenging than composing an original one. She has recreated the Mika Singh hit of the late nineties, “Sawan mein lag gayi aag” for the upcoming romantic comedy “Ginny Weds Sunny“.

“I usually avoid recreating old songs but the film’s Vinod Bachchanji gave me this responsibility of recreating ‘Sawan mein lag gayi aag’ in a new form and present it in the film, it was a big task for me to regenerate the same magic in this iconic number. It was challenging,” Payal said.

Mika, who sang the original song, returns to sing the recreated version of the song with Neha Kakkar and Badshah. This track composed by Payal is filmed on Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam in the movie“Ginny Weds Sunny”.

Payal on her collaboration with Mika for the song was very excited. She said, “Collaborating with Mika Singh, Badshah and Neha Kakkar for a fun party track was amazing. All the three artists bring their unique touch to the song, making it a wholesome party number. I’m very excited about the song’s release. It is packed with entertainment and vibrant ambience.”

The original song was sung by Mika, who said “I was happy to work with such talented artistes. Everyone involved with the creation of this song wants the listeners to enjoy and be entertained.”
