Not Hrithik Roshan but this Khan was the first choice for Lakshya

Farhan Akhtar directorial Lakshya is amongst the modern-day cults in Bollywood. The film had Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta in key roles. Hrithik actually nailed his part completely in the movie. And now we can’t imagine any other actor playing Karan Shergill to such perfection. From being childish to mature, there are innumerable things that Hrithik has done absolute justice to. Only a few might be aware that not Hrithik Roshan, but Aamir Khan was the first choice to play Karan Shergill in Lakshya. The director approached Aamir first, but since he was committed to YRF’s  Mangal Pandey: The Rising, so he moved on to Hrithik.

This movie also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and others in pivotal roles. It minted 24.25 crores in its domestic theatrical run.
