Mahesh Bhatt’s sister, nephew asks Rs for 90 lakh compensation and written apology from Luviena Lodh for drugs allegation
Actress Luviena Lodh had recently alleged that Mahesh Bhatt's 'nephew' Sumit Sabharwal was dealing in drugs and supplying it
Actress Luviena Lodh had recently alleged that Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘nephew’ Sumit Sabharwal was dealing in drugs and supplying it to celebrities like Amyra Dastur and Sapni Pabbi. On this, last week on Wednesday, Mahesh Bhatt’s sister and nephew filed an injunction against her at the Bombay City Civil Court.
According to reports, the Bhatts are now seeking a written apology and Rs 90 lakh compensation for damages. Sumit, has also claimed of being just an employee with the Bhatt’s and not in any kind of relation with them.
Earlier the Bhatt brothers, Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt, had filed a Rs. 1 crore compensation against Luviena with the Bombay High Court. Addressing the same with the media, Lodh had said, “Today, I appeared in the court at 3pm. In their plea, the Bhatt brothers said I should delete the video which I have uploaded on social media. They further added that the accusations which I have made against them are false but the court has told them that I shouldn`t be forced to delete videos. I am not making any defamatory statements. I am telling the truth and I stand by it.”
Clarifying on Sumit’s relation with the Bhatt family, Mahesh’s daughter, Pooja Bhatt, had tweeted, “Please note that the lady in question is not a ‘relative’ since the man she was married to-Sumit Sabherwal is not MR Bhatt’s nephew as mentioned, nor related to him in any other way. Sumit is a senior production manager/head of production at @VisheshFilms.”
Bhatt’s sister Kumkum Saigal submitted in court that Luviena Lodh continues to live in a flat thar her son, Sahil, gave to Sumit as a gesture of goodwill. But now Sumit has moved out of the Versova house, Luviena refuses to leave.
