Madhur Bhandarkar Feeling Upset With Filmmakers Using His Movie Title

Bollywood’s controversial filmmaker
Madhur Bhandarkar take legal action against makers of Chandni Bar sequel over ‘unauthorised’ use of title, for the same filmmaker files complaint.

Well according to report filmmaker Sandeep Singh in collaboration with Ajay Bahl creating new project which is said to be sequel to Madhur Bhandarkar’s most popular project Chandni Bar.

In Madhur Bhandarkar’s Chandni Bar lead role was played by Tabu released way back in 2001.

According to report Madhur got upset with Sandeep Singh and Ajay Bahl for using Chandni Bar title without his consent, showing his anger Madhur Bhandarkar lodged a complaint with the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) against producer Sandeep Singh and director Ajay Bahl.

According to report IMPPA took immediate action and asked Sandeep Singh and Ajay Bahl not to use original title.

According to TOI Letter that IMPPA wrote to Sandeep Singh and Ajay Bahl goes like “This is to inform you that we have received a complaint from our member, M/s Bhandarkar Entertainment, Mr Madhur Bhandarkar that your company is using their registered title ‘Chandni Bar’ for a sequel titled “Chandni Bar Returns” without obtaining the requisite authorisation or consent.” letter further says  “Please note that the title ‘Chandni Bar’ is a registered property of M/s Bhandarkar Entertainment. Any use of this title, in any form or medium, without their prior written approval constitutes unauthorised use and may invite appropriate action. Therefore, you are hereby advised to stop using the said title in any format with immediate effect.”

Well we hope after IMPPA’s action Madhur Bhandarkar will feel relaxed.
