Kiara Advani is the lead actress opposite Ranveer Singh in Shankar’s ‘Anniyan’ remake

Recently there was the new that Ranveer Singh has been roped in by S Shankar for the official remake of his Tamil film Anniyan. Today we have another news about the same. It is that actress Kiara Advani will be the lead actress in the psychological thriller, which released in 2005. The film sparked controversies as producer V Ravichandran claimed of owning the rights on the films, while S Shankar has since maintained that does it. 

The actress already have the experience of doing South films, like Bharat Ane Nenu and Vinaya Vidheya Rama.

The 2005 psychological action thriller, Anniyan, starred south Indian star Vikram in the lead. It is a story of a man suffering from multiple personality disorder and he worked as a lawyer by day and a vigilante at night. The Bollywood adaptation is touted to be a pan-India project and will be produced by Pen Studios.
