Karan Singh Tyagi to helm Karan Johar’s next venture on Jallianwala Bagh massacre

Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar has recently announced that his next project will be based on the historical massacre of Jallianwala Bagh. He said that his movie will show the real life events surrounding the ghastly incident. He also mentioned that the movie will be helmed by Karan Singh Tyagi.  As of now, Karan had only shared these details on social media about his untitled venture.

Sharing a statement on social media, Karan had described about the  film showcasing the truth of the massacre. He also said that the movie has taken inspiration from the book, ‘The Case That Shook The Empire’.

“This film unravels the legendary courtroom battle that Sankaran Nair fought against the British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Sankaran Nair’s bravery ignited the freedom struggle across the country and is a testament to the power of fighting for the truth. The film is inspired from real life events and adapted from the book ‘The Case That Shook The Empire’ written by Raghu Palat (great-grandson of Sankaran Nair) and his wife, Pushpa Palat,” the producer said in a statement on social media.
