Karan Johar, the producer of Brahmastra, attended the 70th National Film Awards in Delhi on October 8, 2024, where the film won three major awards. He dedicated these achievements to Ayan Mukerji, the director of Brahmastra, praising Ayan’s creative vision and the outstanding VFX work that made the film so special.
Brahmastra won the award for Best Male Playback Singer, which was given to Arijit Singh for his popular song “Kesariya.” It also took home the awards for Best Film in Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC), as well as Best VFX Film.
Speaking to the media after the event, Karan Johar said that all the credit for the film’s VFX work belongs to Ayan Mukerji. He added, “Brahmastra is entirely Ayan’s creation. It’s his vision, his passion. I am just here to cheer and accept the honor on his behalf.”
The film featured a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Amitabh Bachchan. Ayan Mukerji is now working on War 2 and has plans to start on Brahmastra 2 afterward, continuing the story of the popular fantasy saga.
