Karan Johar Criticizes High Theater Food Prices, Calls It “Too Expensive”

Karan Johar, a well-known Bollywood filmmaker, recently expressed his frustration over the high prices of food in movie theaters. According to him, the cost of snacks and drinks at multiplexes is becoming too expensive for the average family. He pointed out that a family of four could end up spending around Rs 10,000 just on food while watching a movie.  

Karan Johar shared his thoughts on social media, highlighting how these inflated prices make movie outings less enjoyable for many people. He said that cinema is meant to be a family experience, but these high costs make it difficult for middle-class families to afford the complete experience of watching a film in theaters.

Karan’s comments have sparked conversations among people, with many agreeing that the prices of popcorn, drinks, and other snacks in theaters are unreasonable. Some have even suggested that this is one of the reasons why many prefer watching films at home on streaming platforms, where they can avoid such high expenses.

While theaters argue that the costs are due to operating expenses, people like Karan Johar believe that there should be a balance. The filmmaker hopes that the cinema chains reconsider their pricing so that families can once again enjoy going to the movies without breaking the bank.
