Kangana To Portray Indra Gandhi

Bollywood controversial queen Kangana Ranaut is all set to play Indira Gandhi in upcoming political drama.

Recently while interacting with media actress said upcoming untitled project is not biopic.

Recently she wrapped upcoming political project based on biography of South actress turned politician Jayalalitha titled “Thaliva”.

Recently actress have statement which was released by her office stating “Yes, we are working on the project and the script is in final stages. It is not the biopic of Indira Gandhi, it is a grand period film, to be precise a political drama that will help my generation to understand (the) socio-political landscape of current India,” .

She further said the film is based on a book”, although she did not elaborate on which written work. The actress will produce the film that will feature Emergency and Operation Blue Star.

Apart from giving statement she also tweeted Happy to announce my dear friend Sai Kabir and I are collaborating on a political drama. Produced by Manikarnika Films. Written  and Directed by Sai Kabir.” She added, “This is a photoshoot about iconic women I did in the beginning of my career, little did I know one day I will get to play the iconic leader on screen.”

On work front she is right now working on last schedule of her upcoming project Tejas in which she is easing a role of Air Force pilot.
