Kangana Ranaut recently expressed her disapproval of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal, following in the footsteps of Javed Akhtar. In a tweet, Kangana blamed the audience for supporting movies that promote violence against women, deeming this trend “discouraging.” She also hinted at the possibility of a career change in the near future.
In her tweet she wrote, “Paid negativity for my films is overwhelming, I have been fighting hard so far but even audiences are encouraging women beating films where they are treated like sex objects and asked to lick shoes.”
Hinting at a possible career change, the actor added, “This is deeply discouraging for someone who has been dedicating her life for woman empowerment films, might shift career in coming years, want to give best years of my life to something worthwhile 🥰🙏.”
Moreover, Kangana also shared a fan’s tweet praising her recent film Tejas, which the fan believed to be an outstanding movie. Expressing confusion as to why the film did not receive the desired response, the tweet also mentioned that Karan Johar and his associates may be conspiring against her success. Kangana reposted this tweet and accused her films of being targeted with “paid negativity”. She further tweeted, “I have such a beautiful job. But the world of politics is difficult. Art is a pure profession. Artists are blessed by Goddess Saraswati. And we all know how unforgiving the world of politics has always been. But if given the opportunity to serve my country and be selfless, I will definitely take it up. If my country needs me, I’m there.”
