Kangana claims village background made her Bollywood journey tougher than convent-schooled Shah Rukh

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recently spoke about her challenging journey in the film industry, comparing it to Shah Rukh Khan’s path to success. She pointed out that while both came from outside the film industry, their backgrounds were quite different.

The actress highlighted the struggles she faced due to her lack of urban exposure and formal English education. Coming from a village meant she had to work extra hard to adapt to Bollywood’s environment, learn new languages, and understand the industry’s culture.

While Shah Rukh Khan is widely respected for building his career without film industry connections, Kangana believes her starting point was even more challenging. She had to overcome not just the absence of film connections but also the barriers of language, education, and social background.

Despite these obstacles, Kangana has established herself as one of Bollywood’s leading actresses, winning multiple National Film Awards. Her comments sparked discussions about different types of privileges and the varying degrees of difficulty outsiders face in the film industry.
