This Tuesday the famous film director Imtiaz Ali was invited by the Jammu and Kashmir government in order to promote local art and culture. They wanted the filmmaker to do this by providing necessary platforms to the local artists and youth through workshops and related activities.
Imtiaz, has always shown keen interest in making films casting local artistes using local themes, music, art and locales. While interacting with the journalists, he said that he had always admired the talent of local artists of J&K along with the richness of culture in the state.
The occasion marked the presence of Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary, Culture and Tourism, along with Director of Archaeology and Museums, Munir-ul-Islam.
Imtiaz Ali said that he is all set to carry out the work that is exclusively native. He further said that the entire state of J&K has a vast pool of talent that is diverse and engulfs every sphere of cinematic need. He continued speaking that the old tales and traditional folklores offer stories that can be turned to best cinematic experience.
