Imran Khan on nepotism: Uncle Aamir’s fame isn’t my wealth

Actor Imran Khan recently addressed the ongoing debate about nepotism in Bollywood. The actor, who is the nephew of superstar Aamir Khan, shared his thoughts on being labeled a “nepotism kid.”

Imran clarified that while having a famous uncle opened some doors for him, it didn’t guarantee success. “My uncle Aamir is a movie star, but that’s not my money or my achievement,” he explained. He emphasized that family connections might help someone get their first opportunity, but talent and hard work determine whether they survive in the industry.

The actor acknowledged that he had certain advantages because of his family background. However, he pointed out that he still had to prove himself with every role. Having a famous relative doesn’t automatically make someone a good actor or ensure their movies will succeed at the box office.

Imran’s comments come at a time when nepotism in Bollywood continues to be a hot topic. Many people believe star kids get unfair advantages, while others argue that ultimately, the audience decides who succeeds.
