Legendry actor-play writer Girish Karnad passed away today he was 81 years old.
According to sources actor passed away on Monday at his residence in Bengaluru. Girish Karnad has entertained Indian cinema in terms of acting, direction and screen writing.
Actor was last seen in Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai, he was also part of Ek Tha Tiger.
Actor also played role of Swami’s father in popular TV serial Malgudi Days.
Actor received great applause for his outstanding performance in flicks like Nishaant, Swami and Pukar apart from this actor has received great applause for his outstanding performance in Kannada cinema.
Actor also received Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards, apart from this he has won four Filmfare Awards in field of director and screenplay.
According to sources actor passed away after prolonged illness. He left behind wife Saraswathy Ganapathy and two children.
