First track from The Archies, ‘Sunoh’ released that shows Suhana Khan skating in Riverdale

First song from the upcoming film “The Archies”, titled ‘Sunoh’, has finally been released. This one marks the much-anticipated debut of Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Dot, and Yuvraj Menda.

The music video introduces viewers to Zoya Akhtar’s take on Riverdale, based on the iconic Archies comics. The characters in the film retain their original names from the comics, and the visuals remind of the comic book pages.

The track ‘Sunoh’ serves as an introduction to the characters by depicting their tranquil daily routines. The song opens with Agastya as Archie singing for his band while we see Mihir Ahuja as Jughead on the drums. We are then introduced to Suhana as Veronica skating, Khushi as Betty and Dot as Ethel cycling around town, Vedang as Reggie being a playboy, and Yuvraj as Dilton entering town.

Ankur Tewari and The Islanders composed the song, while Javed Akhtar and Dot gave the lyrics. The vocals were given by Tejas Menon and Shivam Mahadevan.

“The Archies” is an Indian adaptation of the beloved American comic books of the same name. The film is a coming-of-age musical that follows the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel, and Dilton in the fictional town of Riverdale. It is scheduled to be released on OTT on December 7, 2023.
