Filmmaker Hansal Mehta alleges being harassed by an unknown caller

The famous film director Hansal Mehta who was recently in news for his web show Scam 1992 is in the news again. But this time not for some film or a web series or something like that. It is because he and his family were allegedly harassed on phone throughout Saturday night by an unknown caller who is identified as Rohit.

Mehta took to his Twitter and tagged the official account of Mumbai Police on Sunday to complain on this matter. His tweet read, “Dear @MumbaiPolice this unknown person showing up as Rohit on truecaller has been harassing us incessantly all of last night. Please reprimand the person and take suitable action”. Heposted it along with the phone number of the person harassing his family.

However, Mumbai Police responded to the tweet by saying that the filmmaker has to lodge an official complaint in the nearest Police station so that they can investigate further.

“Official complaint need to be lodged at your nearest Police Station,” Mumbai Police tweeted.
