The lockdown induced due to coronavirus put the Bollywood industry to a halt since March this year. But now many of the celebrities are resuming to work, however with safety precautions. Many of the filmmakers did not stop their work during the lockdown period and they kept on working on their script and discussing it with the stars who they wished to picturize it on. Balwinder Singh Janjua is one of those directors who discussed the script with actor Emraan Hashmi via video calling during the lockdown period.
The movie is a comedy drama and is titled Sab First Class. The story of the film revolves around the aspirations and dreams of the common man. Emraan was all excited to sign the comedy drama. He said; “The film is a hilarious yet sensitive story about the common man, and how he can go to any length to fulfil his needs. In the bargain, he stands to lose his family, his face in society and gets caught in a situation he cannot find his way out of,” He continued, “Balwinder’s script is a laugh riot but has its poignant moments as well. It’s unlike anything I’ve done before and was pretty much on board after I heard the first narration,”
The director of the movie said: “As soon as Emraan Hashmi heard the script, his body language indicated that he was on, although he wanted to sleep on it as any actor should. We did a few sessions on video conferencing as well, which is unlike anything I’ve ever done before. A week or so later Emraan called me with suggestions and his thoughts. He was on, and we were super excited,”
Besides Sab First Class, you will see Emraan Hashmi in the psychological thriller “Chehre” co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, and also in the gangster drama “Mumbai Saga”, along with John Abraham, Suniel Shetty and Jackie Shroff.
