The Enforcement Directorate (ED) was investigating the money laundering charges into the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. It has now asked for the help of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) curbing the drug syndicate connection.
According to a close source related to the ED probe, the agency has written to the NCB, and asked for their help to investigate over any drug angle involved in the case. The ED registered a money laundering case, after Sushant’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty with Bihar Police on 31st of July.
After taking the statement of Sushant’s family, the agency also recorded statements of Rhea and her family, Sushant’s ex-manager Shruti Modi, flat mate Siddharth Pithani, house manager Samuel Miranda, chartered accountant Sandeep Sridhar, Rhea’s CA Ritesh Shah and many others.
Now that the CBI team is probing the case, they have questioned Siddharth’s staff and other people associated (however, they are yet to call Rhea and her family). They also summoned two people from the Mumbai Police connected to the case. Probing the case, they visited Sushant’s flat, the Waterstone resort twice, where he stayed for two months and the Cooper hospital where his autopsy was done.
In order to understand Sushant’s autopsy report, the CBI team sought help from AIIMS Forensic department.
